Acupuncture’s effects are cumulative and the success of each session builds upon the previous. Generally, six sessions are a good indicator to measure improvement and develop a personalized treatment plan for success. It is important to commit to treatment at a frequency of once to twice a week in the beginning and then gradually taper off once satisfactory results are achieved. When the condition is successfully managed a wellness maintenance plan should be adopted by continuing regular care either once a month to at the very least once every three months to help your body adjust to the seasons.
